Dancing to the rhythm, inside the music. How to utilize the dance space correctly and effectively
It is recommended that you attend as many of the workshops as possible as they are interrelated and are designed to be taken in a sequence. In all the workshops we will work with known and new figures. These are the only workshops of 1:30 hour that will be taught in New York.
Saturday September 26th
Workshop 1
3:00 to 4:30
Change of weight to the “compás” and with variations.
Milonguero techniques that can be used in limited space and crowded dance floors
Workshop 2
4:30-6:00
Embracing with your body, arms without weight.
Balance. Increasing the energy in turns (giros) and going to the cross.
Sunday September 27th
Workshop 3
3:00 to 4:30
Dancing within your axis and within the line of dance. Different types of turns (giros).
Workshop 4
4:30-6:00
Different interpretations of the rhythm. Dancing with pauses.
